Palouse swim team getting underway

PALOUSE — The first swim team practice of the season is set for noon to 1 p.m. Monday, June 27.

Tryouts are not required, officials said. To compete, swimmers must be able to complete the following:

Swim 25 yards of any stroke if you are 10 and under

Swim 50 yards of any stroke if you are 12 and older.

The weekly practice schedule is set for noon to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The first parent swimmer meeting was Friday, June 1, at the Palouse Park.

The meeting included a discussion on the program, registration and offered popsicles.
