DUSTY — On Monday, May 23, there will be a work day at the Dusty Cemetery to prepare it for Memorial Day the following weekend.

Volunteers are needed along with their shovels, blocks for lifting head stones, weed eaters, rakes, wheelbarrows, pry bars and lots of muscle power. So, eat your Wheaties before coming to help spruce up the cemetery.

Mark Vogler has also requested donations of cookies to help workers keep up their strength.

Volunteers are requested to be at the cemetery at 7:56 a.m. — sharp!

On May 10, Regena Jones and her husband Mario arrived in Seattle from their home in Italy, where her brother Bryan Jones of Dusty, met their plane. The following day, Gena’s daughter Meggie Perron of Kalispell, Mont., arrived at the home of their mother/grandmother Fran Jones of Dusty.

The following Thursday, Gena’s son, Damien, his wife, Rachel, and their daughters, 6-year-old Elouise and baby Delilah, also from Kalispell, came to spend the weekend.
