Farmington man held on firearms charges

Arrest stems from alleged assault on pregnant girlfriend

FARMINGTON — A local man is being held on $5,000 bail or a $50,000 surety bond after being arrested last Friday.

Michael Keller, 48, of Farmington, is facing probable charges of second-degree assault and 14 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Records show Keller is a convicted felon; under state law, felons may not own or possess a firearm.

His first appearance in court was at 3 p.m. Monday, May 9.

He was arrested Friday, May 6, following reports of a 9:04 a.m. domestic dispute with his pregnant 24-year-old girlfriend.
