Transit rescinds mask mandate

PULLMAN — The local transit system was among the last in Eastern Washington to require masks to board a bus.

But, the Pullman Transit no longer requires masks for employees and riders on buses and Dial-A-Ride vehicles.

The change follows the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s withdrawal of its order requiring masks on public transportation on Jan. 29.

Public schools throughout the state halted masking policies previously.
