Local girls on win streak

COLFAX – The Colfax girls fastpitch softball team is on a 6-game win streak.

Starting last Tuesday, April 19, the local girls swept rival Liberty (Spangle).

The local girls won the opener, 3-2.

In the bottom of the seventh, senior Jorja Koerner singled on a 1-2 count, scoring 1 run to win the game.

Koerner got the start on the mound, allowing seven hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out six, and walking 0.

Jaidyn Stephens was in the pitcher's circle for Liberty, going 6 and two-thirds innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits and striking out 10.
