Opal Korsvold Miller

Opal Korsvold Miller passed away peacefully April 7, 2022, at Brighton Court in Spokane, Wash.

She was born Feb. 18, 1928 in Limon, Colo., to Orvald and Emma Larson Korsvold. The family moved to LaCrosse, Wash., in 1938.

She graduated from LaCrosse High School in 1945. On Nov. 16, 1947, she married James Kenneth Miller of St. John. They farmed together for 63 years.

Opal was an active member of Wednesday Club and Wheatland Grange. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Gladys Poffenroth and Delores Zaring; infant son, Stanley; and son, George.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Steve) Sackmann of Lind, and Barbara Miller of Spokane; daughter-in-law, Andrea Miller of St. John; five grand-children; and seven great-grand children.

She requested that no memorial service be held. Memorial contributions may be sent to Eccles Community Club, 3501 Ingram Road, St. John, WA 99171 or to the George Miller Endowment, St John-Endicott School Foundation, P.O. Box 411, St. John, WA 99171.

Neptune Society of Spokane is in charge of arrangements.
