Regional theatre opens with 'Pippin'

PULLMAN – Regional Theatre of the Palouse opens Thursday with the musical “Pippin.”

Based on the book by Roger O. Hirson, the play features music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz.

“We’ve got magic to do, just for you! This Tony-Award winning musical tells the story of Pippin, a young prince hunting for significance and meaning in life, through a mystical troupe of performers,” stated organizer John Rich. “In most productions of Pippin, the 'fourth wall' is frequently broken, making the story even more personable.”

The Regional Theater of the Palouse’s production Pippin is directed by Michael Todd.

The Regional Theatre of the Palouse is at 122 N. Grand Avenue in Pullman.

Tickets cost $18-$25.

The show is scheduled to be performed April 1-3, and April 6-10. Most shows start at 7:30 p.m., except Saturday when it begins at 1:30 p.m. and a second show at 7:30 p.m.
