Pullman takes second in 2A

YAKIMA — The Pullman Greyhounds boys basketball team shocked No. 1-ranked North Kitsap on Friday, March 4, in the state 2A semifinals.

But a second upset wasn’t in the cards, as the Greyhounds ended up coming home to Pullman with a second-place trophy.

Pullman, the No. 4-seed, opened postseason with a with a 61-50 regional win over No. 5 Tumwater to get into the state tournament in the Yakima Valley SunDome.

In the quarterfinals, the Grehounds dominated the Prosser Mustangs, 78-48, to continue their quest for a state trophy.
