Mayor offers 'State of the City'

Chamber members gathered on March 7 for lunch meeting

COLFAX — Mayor James Retzer provided the “State of the City” to Colfax Chamber of Commerce members and guests during a lunch meeting Tuesday, March 8.

Retzer addressed several issues in town.

According to the mayor, the city will have to replace two pumps for Thornhill water and irrigation systems.

Another pump will have to be replaced at the Clay Street Well, he said.

With hopes of receiving funding from the American Rescue Plan, Retzer estimates this project to be expensive.
