Tekoa connects with fiber optic internet

TEKOA — Tekoa is now connected to the internet through a high-speed fiber-optic system.

Ziply Fiber and the Port of Whitman County added the fourth Whitman County city to the fiber optic system and there’s one to go. Oakesdale joins in December. Garfield was connected on Nov. 1.

“We are happy to announce that Tekoa’s high-speed internet network is ready for service,” said Kara Riebold, chief operating officer at the Port of Whitman County.
