Eagles come back to win third

YAKIMA - The trophy says third place at the state volleyball tournament and the St. John-Endicott-LaCrosse (SJEL) Eagles are proud of earning it.

"I am very, very proud of (my team). They deserved it. It is an honor to be part of the program and coach such amazing women," said SJEL Coach Jenn Johnson.

Out of 20 teams competing in the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) 2021 1B State Tournament in the Yakima SunDome on Nov. 11-12, the Eagles earned third place. They lost to one team and beat four others.

SJEL's first game in the tournament was against the Willapa Valley...
