Vikings roar back after long hiatus

GARFIELD - The Garfield-Palouse Vikings returned from a two-week pause of school and sports to beat Oakesdale volleyball on Oct. 5.

Garfield-Palouse volleyball is now 2-0 in league play after winning (25-1, 25-14, 25-18), said Vikings Coach Brad Rader.

"We served extremely wee with 15 aces," said Rader. "(It was the) first game back after two weeks so communication was really good."

Viking Denni Fealy had 7 aces and added 10 assists. Maci Brantner had 5 kills and 1 block. Kara Blomgren had 5 digs.

Nighthawk Delani Lehn had 12 kills. Libby Lehn added 14 assists. Angelina Nocker had 7 digs. Keel...
