Three teams take part in Asotin Invitational

CLARKSTON - Cross country runners from Colfax, Colton and St. John-Endicott-LaCrosse (SJEL) competed in the Asotin Invitational on Sept. 18.

Runners began at the arts center in Clarkston and took to the course. For a team to yield a score, they needed a minimum of five runners. Each runner scores points equivalent to their finishing place. The team with the lowest point wins.

The boys teams ran 5,000 meters, but only the Colfax Bulldogs fielded a complete team. They were in eighth place as a team.

Colfax boys placed 16th Dyamin Vanek (17:37), 41st Jaxon Eads (18:52), 63rd Luka Garcia (21:10), 70th Jack Warwick (22:32), and in 71st Jacob Jones (24:06).

Colton boys placed 42nd Tanner Baerlocher (18:56), 60th Zessin Grayson (20:53), 76th Jose Rinconm (24:09), and in 77th Loren Heitstuman (26:59).

St. John-Endicott-LaCrosse (SJEL) boys placed 43rd Ryan Anderson (19:05), 44th Logan Marconi (19:06), 52nd Rory Maloney (19:42), and in 61st Matthew Logen (20:56).

The girls ran the 5,000 meter course. Colfax and Colton fielded runners but neither had enough to generate a team score.

Colfax girls placed 26th Anna Cocking (23:03), 34th Hannah Baerlocher (24:47), 37th Paige Cocking (27:55), and in 39th Gabby Rabaiotti (30:05).

Colton girls placed 9th Lola Baerlocher (20:13) and in 23rd Eloise Clark (22:49).
