Tekoa firefighters drove to help with the Idaho Road Fire on Sept. 15.
LATAH - Rosalia and Tekoa firefighters assisted Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) fire crews in fighting a wildfire on Sept. 15.
The Idaho Road Fire burned 35 acres of timber area in two days before it was extinguished, according to IDL. The fire was caused by humans, but no details were provided.
Whitman County Fire District 1 from Tekoa sent four vehicles and eight firefighters to help.
Whitman County Fire District 7 firefighters from Rosalia helped in providing protection when two structures were threatened.
