Jarms hardware awarded for helping Malden

CHENEY - Jarms Hardware in Cheney was honored by the National Society of the Daughters of the Revolution for their efforts to help Malden after fire destroyed the town.

A year ago, immediately after the fire, owner Tom Jarms started collecting funds at the store and delivered comfort supplies donated t the victims of the fire, stated Esther Reed Chapter Regent Mary Gilmore.

The organization named Jarms Hardware as a recipient of the annual Community Service Awards for outstanding commitment and honor brought to their communities.
