ROSALIA – A gray 2019 Acura ILX was heading north when it crossed the centerline in front of a semi-truck on U.S Highway 195, about 13 miles north of Rosalia, on Sept. 10.

The head-on collision caused the southbound 2018 International semi-truck and trailer to cross the road and roll onto its side on the highway shoulder, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Brandon T. Johnson, 25, of Spokane, was driving the Acura. He was injured and flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

His passenger, Mikayla Richards, 23, of Spokane, was not injured, according to the state patrol.

The driver of the semi-truck, Henry J. Espinoza, 58, of Spokane, was reported to have been trapped and removed from the rig. He was injured and taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center.

The state patrol is investigating the cause of the collision and stated charges for Johnson are pending.

All three people were wearing seatbelts.
