Family helped David Stueckel celebrate his birthday Saturday. Daughter Karen and son-in-law Larry Light arrived from their home in Portland Thursday and stayed until Sunday. The rest of the group arrived at David’s home for the party on Saturday. Celebrants included Doug, Cheryl and Ashleigh Stueckle, Coeur d’Alene; the Lights from Portland; Ann Marie and Kara Stueckle, Post Falls; Nathan and Jonathan Stueckle, Liberty Lake and Mark and Andrea Davis and children, Coeur d’Alene. David’s four grandchildren and four great grandchildren helped with the celebration.

Sunday afternoon, Audrey and Michael Largent and Peggy and Roger Zaring met at Tom and Doreen Riedner’s home to get Homestead Ministries ready for the Palouse Empire Fair. They assembled 1250 bags of soup. Stop by their booth when you attend the fair.

Alex BeDell, former Dustyite and daughter of Angela and Brian Broeckel of Dusty and David and Vikki BeDell of Ogden, Utah, and Brodie Yamamoto, son of Rob and Bonnie Yamamoto of Grand Rapids, Michigan, were wed Thursday in an outdoor ceremony at Rossi Farm wedding venue in Portland, Oregon. Broeckel relatives who attended the event included Alex’s parents, Brian and Angela Broeckel, aunts and uncles Tom and Doreen Riedner, Dusty, and Tony and Denise Kendall, Tacoma and cousins Patty Wieber, Spokane, and Karen Broeckel, Dusty. The couple have a home in Vancouver, WA.
