Queen Amy Pilloud represents the Palouse Empire Rodeo for 2020-2021.
COLFAX - Three young women are preparing to compete to be the next Palouse Empire Rodeo Queen for 2021-2022.
The competitors are Nevaeh Groh, of Spokane, Tina Groh, of Spokane, and Brooke Russell, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
The one selected is following 2020-2021 Queen Amy Pilloud, of Colfax. She's unable to attend the fair this year and in her place is 2018 Queen Aliya Dunlap, of Pullman.
Contestants demonstrate their skills in horsemanship, rodeo knowledge, speech, modeling, impromptu questions, and running cattle during rodeo performance, according to organizers.
