Car crash sends Colfax man to Whitman hospital

COLFAX — The steering wheel in a red 1998 Jeep Wrangler came loose, leading to a crash on Almota Road near Colfax on Aug. 21.

The Jeep went into a ditch and turn to roll sideways once, landing on its wheels, said Whitman County Undersheriff Chris Chapman.

Driver Ronald Dennison, 32, of Colfax, received injuries and was taken to the Whitman Hospital in Colfax by a passing driver who stopped to help.

No infractions were issued....
