MOSCOW, Idaho – The Humane Society of the Palouse and the Hamilton-Lowe Aquatics Center is turning over the pool to dogs on Sept. 12.

"For the 14th year, (humane society) has partnered to give local dogs the pool day they deserve," said Lauren Green, public relations manager. "The fundraising effort is loved by many, and is crucial to providing the shelter with enough funds to continue its mission."

Owners need to pay $15 per dog for the five-hour-long event.

The event was canceled last year due to COVID.

In the past, about 450 dogs got to swim during the fundraiser.

"Howling at Hamilton is a staple yearly event that brings together animal lovers from all across the Palouse region," said Green. "We are hoping to see as many dogs and owners as possible this year."

The Hamilton-Lowe Aquatics Center is at 830 N Mountain View Rd, Moscow, Idaho. For more information, call 208-882-7665.
