Donations sought for Rosalia firefighters' fundraiser

Pig roast and silent auction is set for Nov. 6

ROSALIA – The Rosalia Volunteer Firefighters Association seeks donations to help with the annual Pig Roast and Silent Auction on Nov. 6.

“We are seeking monetary donations, items for the silent auction, or items for door prizes,” said Vice Chair Laura Lautenslager. “This annual event is the major fundraiser for our department.”

Whitman County Fire District 7 serves roughly 350 square miles in the northern portion of the county.

“The funds raised during this event go to purchase of equipment, training for our volunteers, and operational support for fire district 7. One of our main goals is to eventually remodel our aging fire station,” said Lautenslager.

The Pig Roast and Silent Auction began in 2018 and was supported by 200 community members.

People attending the event can enjoy a pulled pork dinner, desert bingo, silent auction, and time spent with neighbors.

“We are asking for your support to be a sponsor to make a monetary donation or donate an auction item,” she said. “We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to recognize you or your company at our annual pig roast.”

Donations are tax-deductible.

To donate, call Lautenslager at 509-523-3151 or email RVFA@rosaliafire.org.
