St. John parents attended a rally in Spangle at Liberty High School on Aug. 12 to protest state control over schools and mask mandates for kids in school.
ST. JOHN - Parents can rally for local control of schools at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, in the city park.
The event is organized by Amy Swannack and Micah Armstrong.
It comes after a rally last week that attracted 450 parents and public school employees opposed to masking students and mandating vaccinations.
"There are many difficult topics that have arose, trickling down from our government leaders (in Olympia)," Armstrong said in a social media post.
The event in St. John follows similar events and protests being planned statewide for Aug. 18.
