Oakesdale, Tekoa libraries seek homes for pet rocks

OAKESDALE — Homes are needed for pet rocks.

"These obedient pet rocks are guaranteed to listen to the commands stay and sit," stated Shelly Ausmus, the Oakesdale and Tekoa libraries branch manager.

Kids and parents are invited to stop by the Oakesdale and Tekoa library branches, of the Whitman County Library, and pick up a kit to make a pet rock. The kits have rocks, craft supplies, and ideas to make a unique pet.

Supplies are limited.

The Oakesdale Library is open Mondays from 1-6 p.m. and Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Tekoa Library is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:30-6 p.m. and Th...
