COLTON – Colton Wildcat fans cheered on the girls’ basketball team on Senior Night to help them overpower the Garfield-Palouse Vikings 56-37.

“It was a great atmosphere,” said Colton Coach Clark Vining. “The gym had fans in it and it was good energy. We fed off that and got off to that great start.”

The Wildcats (5-2) pounced with a 21-5 lead and by halftime, they led 37-13. The Vikings rallied to outscore the Wildcats 17-6 in the third quarter, but Colton came back in the fourth scoring nearly twice as many points as the Vikings to win 56-37.
