Cougar Graphics get new owners, awning and mural

COLFAX – Rachelle and Earl Marshall have plans for their new Colfax businesses.

They are the new owners of Cougar Graphics and plan to open a second business in the same building, Marshall Munitions.

The Marshalls bought the longtime Colfax business Cougar Graphics on March 1 from previous owner Darcy Henderson, who ran it for 13 years.

Cougar Graphics was awarded an $8,000 grant from the Colfax Downtown Association for a new awning, which is expected to go up on June 25. The business contributed 20% of the total cost.

The new awning spans only the Cougar Graphics part of the building.

The brick front with a separate entrance is to become Marshall Munitions, a bullet store. Earl Marshall plans to open it later this year.

In addition, the Colfax Arts Council is going to paint a mural on the left side of the building, which faces the former Bunyard’s Automotive. The association would paint over the illustration of the Washington State University Cougar and Colfax Bulldog holding up a car.
