WSU keeps mask rule, University of Idaho does not

Series: News Briefs | Story 104

PULLMAN — Washington State University keeps its mask mandate while the University of Idaho does not.

The announcements come after the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) adopted a policy that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks.

Further guidance from Washington Gov. Jay Inslee is expected, which may affect WSU’s policy.

For the University of Idaho, the administrators announced on Monday that students will not be required to wear masks anymore on campus. President Scott Green said supervisors are not asking employees if they have been vaccinated.
