Median home price up 12%

COLFAX — Whitman County’s median home price is up more than 12% over last year, according to the University of Washington’s Center for Real Estate Research.

The median home price is now more than $320,000.

The report notes 121 new home building permits issued in Whitman County in the first quarter of 2021. The number was at nine for the first quarter last year. The difference is mainly attributed to new statewide building codes taking effect on Feb. 1....
