FAA grants to pay for airport improvements

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport is receiving $1 million from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to design a new terminal building.
The existing 8,785 square foot terminal facility is 31 years old serves 21% of the needed space for 2019, according to airport officials. It was designed to accommodate a single 38-passenger plane under pre-9/11 security requirements.
The airport is looking to build a new terminal facility with more than 40,000 square-feet to accommodate the 70,000 pre-COVID passengers it served annually. It's predicted to serve 145,000 by 2030.
