Cheryl Anne Ritts

Cheryl Anne Ritts finished her journey of life on May 13, 2021 at the age 79. She passed at Providence Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Washington.

She was born to Hollis and Beryl Breeden in Kellogg, Idaho, on April 1, 1942. Cheryl graduated from Colfax High School. She continued her education at the Kelsey-Baird Business School and later at Spokane Falls Community College. She met her husband, Earl Ritts during that time and married him on April 14, 1962. They were married 59 years. Cheryl and Earl met at an Airman Ball in Airway Heights in Spokane, Washington.

Cheryl wanted children to love. They had five children - Julie Joy, Vancouver, Wash., Douglas Ritts, Cheney, Wash., Mark Ritts, Endicott, Wash., Kelly Ritts-Knott, Endicott, Wash., and Kimberly Hays-Bennett, Vancouver, Washington. Cheryl was a lovely mother and devoted wife. She was selfless and caring. She loved her family so much.

She took pride in being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She enjoyed working in her yard and garden and being outside in the fresh air. Her favorite was her rose bed of variety of roses. She enjoyed staying connected to family/friends via email and Facebook. She loved researching family ancestry. She enjoyed cross-stitching, adult coloring, water color painting and her puzzle books. She loved to travel. Her favorite trip was to Iceland with her Dad (Hollis Breeden) and her sister (Pat West). She loved going on leisurely drives with her husband and spending time together. She had a special saying or phase she would say- "Bless your heart".

Cheryl will be dearly missed by family who gave her so much pleasure and joy. They include her husband, Earl Ritts; three daughters, Julie (Steve) Joy, Kelly Ritts-Knott and Kimberly (Mike) Bennett; two sons, Douglas Ritts (Heather) and Mark Ritts; four grandchildren, Justin Joy, Ashley Olson, Jenna Joy and Zachary Hays .; and three great-grandchildren, Oliver Olson, Rosie Mae Olson and Riley Olson.

A private graveside service will be held at St. John Cemetery in St. John, Washington. Bruning Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
