Farmington's Woomack given Quilt of Valor

GARFIELD — James Woomack was recently presented with a Quilt of Valor during a meeting of the American Legion Post 24 in Garfield.

Woomack, of Farmington, served in the Navy from 1967 - 1993 during Vietnam and the Gulf War as an aircraft structural mechanic, aircrew and flight engineer.

The quilt was made and presented by volunteers of the Greater Spokane Quilt of Valor group. They have joined with more than 10,000 quilters across the nation to honor and comfort those who serve and have been touched by war.
