Colfax Bulldogs hit links for first golf match

WILBUR — The first golf match for Colfax High School was more of a practice round since the team didn't keep scores.

The six Bulldogs traveled to Wilbur to play 9-holes on April 15. Two players did not attend. The team consists of two girls and seven boys.

Leading the Colfax boys was Hayden Ewing and leading the girls Kennedy Schmidt.

"We didn't really track scores," said Coach Michael Heitstuman. "None of my kids have been in an official golf match because we got shut down last year (due to COVID)."

The course is a 9-hole with a 36 par.

On Monday the team went to Chewelah where some played 18 holes and some 9 holes
