Studded tires reach end date Wednesday

OLYMPIA — Studded tires need to be removed from vehicles by the end of day, Wednesday, according to state law.

Beginning at midnight Thursday, drivers with studded tires will be subject to a $136 fine.

Oregon also has the same remove-by date for studded tires. The Washington law applies to all drivers, including visitors....
