'Contract killer' charged with assaulting deputy

COLFAX – A Tekoa man is accused of claiming to be a contract killer, kicking a deputy, and not letting a teenager out of his car.

Rocky C. Disney, 37, of Tekoa, was charged with kidnapping in the first degree, assault in the third degree, and reckless driving on Monday in Whitman County Superior Court.

A Whitman County sheriff’s deputy was sent to the scene of a one-car rollover crash on Cove Road, just across the county line on March 7. The scene was in Spokane County but their deputies were unable to respond.
