Baerlocher second, Cook fourth at Slough

ST. JOHN - Lola Baerlocher, of Colton, took second place in cross-country with a time of 20:59 at Webb's Slough in St. John on Feb. 27.

Kennedy Cook took third for Garfield/Palouse at 21:42.

For other Top-10 girls placers, Samantha Snekvik of Gar/Pal placed sixth at 23:05 and Lola Edwards seventh at 23:43, also of Gar/Pal. Brooklyn Newman finished ninth for Tekoa/Rosalia in a time of 24:05, and Ellie Tollett was 10th (24:09) for St. John/Endicott/LaCrosse.

In boys' cross-country, Ethan Cook took fourth for Garfield/Palouse with a time of 18:00.

Teammate Danny Laughary finished seventh with a time of 18:37.

On Feb. 25, Ethan Cook and Baerlocher won the boys' and girls' races at a five-team meet in Pomeroy. Cook crossed the line at 19:32.6 and Baerlocher was first for the girls at 22:33.3.

Garfield/Palouse's Laughary took second in the boys race and Kennedy Cook second for the girls.
