Marjorie Robinson

Marjorie Ann "Marge" Robinson passed away peacefully on February 23, 2021, with her son, Barry, by her side in Pullman, Washington.

Marge was born on May 16, 1942, in Crosby, North Dakota, to Neal Clifford "Cliff" and Margaret Jorgens. Marge graduated from Crosby High School, and her classmates acknowledged her genuine, loveable personality. The Crosby yearbook said of Marge, "Her friendship is worth having" The Jorgens family moved to Washington from Crosby, and this is where she met and then married Melvin "Mel" Robinson of Garfield, Washington in 1961. Mel passed away on May 30, 2020.

Growing up in Crosby's small community, Marge was raised with a core value of caring for others. She always had a smile for everyone she met and loved visiting with her many friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a positive outlook. Marge was a very giving person, never forgetting anyone's birthday. Growing up in the '50's Marge loved the rock and roll of that era, especially Elvis Presley. Marge was very proud of her Norwegian heritage. You would hear her say a good "Uff-da" now and then.

Marge and Mel ran the Palouse Restaurant and Lounge for several years, and local folks from all over the area enjoyed stopping there and visiting them.

Marge is survived by her three children, Barry, Scott, and Aaron; her sisters Carol and Janette and her husband Terry, her brother Gary, and her two grandchildren, Troy and Haley.

One of Marge's favorite teachings was from her Dad's poem: "Suppose, my little lady, that your dolly should break, could you make it whole by crying till your eyes and nose were red? Suppose; the world don't please and the way some people do, do you think this whole creation was created just for you? So isn't it the wisest and the best of plan, to live each moment day by day and do the best you can."

Let's all remember Marge by living each moment day by day and doing the best you can.

Kramer Funeral Home of Palouse, Washington is caring for the family. Online condolences may be left at http://www.kramercares.com
