Replacement batting cage maybe covered

COLFAX — Covered batting cages may be coming to Colfax as a replacement.

City parks boardmember Jerry Pugh gave an update Monday night of a new batting cage yet to be installed to replace an earlier one damaged by a windstorm.

The board discussed coming up with a design for a covered batting cage to be built on the backside of the junior-varsity baseball field and McDonald Park.

Pugh noted that because of the newly refurbished junior-senior high school gym, batting cages will no longer be allowed on the gym floor....
