Homer Kenneth Hopkins

Homer Kenneth Hopkins, 92, passed quietly away Thursday, February 18, 2021, while sitting on the porch at his residence in Lacrosse.

Born November 10, 1928, and raised on the family farm near Lacrosse, he was the youngest son of Elijah and Hattie (Broyles) Hopkins. Homer attended school in Lacrosse until deciding to stay home and help on the family farm. Raised at a time when horses were used to farm, it became a lifelong passion.

Homer married the late Loris Claire German of Colfax, and they were married for 26 years while raising a family of four. Homer is survived by all four of his children, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the community for their support in this matter and per the deceased wishes there are no services planned. Bruning Funeral Home is caring for the family.
