Golf course event center delay approved

COLFAX — The Colfax Golf Course event center construction project will have more time to use county funding.

The project suffered delays last year due to Fish and Wildlife and Department of Ecology permitting matters and COVID-19.

County commissioners approved the extension Tuesday of $70,000 to the project, to end Feb. 16, 2022.

Commissioners previously awarded the funding in 2019 as part of its annual .09 economic development program.

The project is expected to break ground in March....
