Colfax police warn of vaccine frauds

COLFAX — Colfax Police Chief Bruce Blood warns residents to be aware of scams regarding COVID-19 vaccine distribution.

Blood noted people should be wary when:

• Asked to pay out of pocket for the vaccine

• Asked to pay to get early access

• Asked to be pay to be placed on a waiting list

• Someone offers to sell vaccines or ship doses in return for payment

People should not respond to ads for vaccines coming across social media platforms, over the phone, e-mail, online, or from unsolicited or unknown sources, Blood said.

Do not give your personal information to unknown sources.
