February 4, 2021

COLFAX — Trees are missing at Schmuck Park in Colfax.

Public Works Director Matt Hammer told the city council Monday that four diseased trees were taken out of Schmuck Park last week.

They were deemed hazardous for falling down or spreading disease.

Each tree was estimated to be 80 years old.

Hammer reported the city will plant new, young trees at the park this spring or fall. They will be between 8 feet and 10 feet tall.
