Colfax High School names Top Dogs

COLFAX — Colfax Junior-Senior High School has released the names of its Top Dog award-winnners for December.

The December winners are seniors Perry Imler, history, Sam Kopp, character, and Kierstyn York, fine arts; sophomores Gene Gibler, language, Corbin Burth, physical education, and Makiah Zorb, mathematics; and juniors Luka Garcia, career and technical education, and Cora Schindler, science.

The Top Dog program, begun this year, honors students who excel in each academic department for effort, attitude, hard work and helping others.

Teachers in each department nominate students and vote for a winner.

For the character award, any staff member may nominate a student and the whole staff votes.
