Truck crashes into field along Highway 195

COLTON — A southbound tractor-trailer loaded with wood chips missed the curve one mile south of town and crashed into an adjacent field Nov 10.

The name, age and hometown of the driver have yet to be released.

The U.S. Highway 195 incident occurred at 11:30 p.m. Nov. 10 near Milepost 7, Washington State Patrol Sgt. Courtney Shawley said. Traffic on Highway 195 was shut down for about an hour as two tow vehicles extracted the truck and trailer from the field.

Shawley assisted in clean up and traffic control, but was unsure why the driver missed the curve....
