William Martin Larsen, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Genesee, Idaho, on Sunday, October 11th, 2020.
William (Bill) was born April 19, 1941, in Fresno, Calif., to the late Martin Larsen and Drusilla Sever. He was the oldest of two siblings Karen Ryan and Francis Ronald Larsen.
His childhood was spent on the family farm near Almota, Wash. He continued farming and started Diamond Distributing in 1968 to 2012.
Bill was always well know for his mechanical skills from building farm equipment to rebuilding engines and racing cars. Other pastimes included hunting and fishing, watching his kids and friends participate in horse events and having morning coffee with his friends. The one thing he will always be remembered for is his love for garage sales and auctions. Bill was always trying to find the best deal on things. If anyone was looking for something in particular, Bill could find it and at the best deal!
He is survived by his son Jim (Carol) Larsen of Colfax, Wash., daughters Ann (Eric) Porteous and Emily Bredehoeft, both of Oregon City, Ore., son William Larsen of Lewiston, Idaho; and sister Karen Ryan, Williams, Ariz. Bill had five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
To respect Dad's wishes, no funeral services will be held. Memorial gifts can be sent to Advanced Home Care & Hospice of North Idaho.
