Bill Chipman Palouse Trail to be sprayed for noxious weeds

PULLMAN — From Oct. 9-16 Friday,the Bill Chipman Palouse Trail will be spot sprayed for noxious weeds.

The times and days of herbicide application will be determined based on weather conditions. Areas will be clearly posted during spray work.

Trail-goers should be alert to the ongoing activity. Users with a greater sensitivity to chemicals should be aware of these dates and ongoing operations. The Parks Department is required by law to control noxious weeds.

The sensitivities of the corridor have been considered in the overall weed management program.

Trail-users should continue to be mindful of yielding to vehicular traffic at trail/road intersections.
