Youth show draws buyers

The Whitman County Youth Livestock Exhibition Sept. 11 and 12 had 94 participants whose beef, swine, goat or sheep made weight and showed in their respective market classes. At Saturday's sale, only 50 buyers were allowed in the Youth Ag Pavilion at one time. Despite the restriction, more than 190 registered buyers purchased animals. Whitman County local, Butch Booker, served as auctioneer, one of many long-time volunteers and dedicated people who saw the event through.
