Thrifty Grandmothers purse still giving

COLFAX—The Thrifty Grandmothers Club has distributed $13,000 to area groups over the past five months. While the club did not meet April through June, it did administer grants of $1,000 to W.H.E.A.T. for postage, $750 to the City of Albion for a lunch program, $750 to the City of Colfax for the swimming pool and $8,000 in scholarships.

The club met in July and granted $1,000 to the Colfax Livestock Supporters. An additional $1,000 was granted to the Colfax Livestock Supporters at the August meeting along with $500 for the Onecho Bible School Lapwai Project.
