Community slideshows on YouTube

COLFAX–Historic slideshows of the Albion, Colton, LaCrosse, Oakesdale, Palouse and Uniontown communities are now featured on Whitman County Library's YouTube channel. The images are part of a new project of Whitman County Heritage, as part of The Washington Rural Heritage online collection.

Each spring, the library normally provides presentations and slide shows in a number of towns across the county, meeting patrons at their local branch libraries. Because of coronavirus, this year's presentations are being delivered online. Visitors can access the YouTube page called WhitmanCoLibrary or via the red and white YouTube link on the library's website at http://www.whitco.lib.wa.us.

Within each presentation, you'll find descriptions of the photos, donor names, and identifying numbers to assist in locating the image again while browsing the online collection. The entire collection of more than 5,000 historical can be accessed from The Whitman County Heritage link on the Library's website.

Whitman County Heritage is supported by a grant from the Washington State Library with funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
