Fire Watch Issued for Whitman County

COLFAX — The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for 2-10 p.m.Tuesday for Whitan County and other parts of Eastern Washington.

Predicted breezy winds and low humidity, along with dry vegetation, may lead to rapid fire spread, the service said.

Meteorologists are forecasting west winds gusting 25-35 mph across much of Central and Eastern Washington tomorrow afternoon and evening.
