American Legion poker ride Saturday

GARFIELD – The “Ride for Our Veterans Poker Run and 100-Year Celebration for American Legion Auxiliary” motorcycle ride will be July 25, to start in Garfield.

Beginning with registration from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Schaut's Marketplace, the first bike will take off at 10 a.m. from Garfield, going to Crossett's Market in Oakesdale for the first card, followed by Rosalia Market, onto Cougar Food Mart in Colfax and the Potlatch VFW. The final stop will be the American Legion Post No. 24 in Garfield, where a barbecue by donation will be held at 2 p.m. The last card will be dealt at 3 p.m.

Prizes are provided by Pullman Honda, State Bank Northwest in Garfield and Northwest Auto Parts of Pullman. Black Bird at the Depot in Potlatch donated shirts and sweatshirts and food has been donated by Garfield Meat Shop and Meet Shop Too.

Cost for entry is $15 for riders, $5 for passenger and $5 for extra card.

Proceeds go to W.H.E.A.T. (We Honor Every American Troop) and Ruck for the Fallen.
