Harvest has begun

The Whitman County Gazette has received word from Dusty correspondent Karen Broeckel that combines began rolling last week in the southern suburbs of Dusty.

They started earlier along the Snake River and in Hay. The pile is growing at the PNW grain pad at Dusty which received its first kernels of the new crop July 14.

Harvest at Pampa started July 20 with LaCrosse farmers expected to start cutting this week....
